If I do indeed enroll in the university’s intensive Korean language program, many things will change. The administrator told me that the previous professors were not good students. I’ll be the best student, Chinese competitors be damned. The cons are that it’s 4 hours a day Monday through Friday, but I do believe I need such focus. I’m floundering on my own.

Started novel number six today, and it’s already out of my control—in a good way. It feels like everything I’ve written up to this point has been practice for this book. I endeavor to write a little each day, and under the novel’s spell, no longer need to find a “secret place” to compose it, as wherever I sit will be sufficient.
