Leg day at the gym can be especially brutal, forcing me to linger inside my mind. Thinking about how humans perpetually search for something, I realized an endless search may be hazardous to health and happiness. Ignorance is stagnation, not bliss, but many prefer it to awareness, especially self-awareness.

Imagination is our most versatile and vital tool, yet society and school teaches us to hide it away and lock it up forever, to annihilate it. Many—no—most do just that, and live perfectly content lives attempting assimilation and conformity.

Such an existence is not my calling and never has been. Though I am currently busy (obligations and distractions), an underlying RAGE sleeps. While its strength and severity know no limits or bounds, I am in control, and it fuels me when I have nothing else.
